The Network is dedicated to Building Leaders through Action, Community and Kinship for Black and African American men. The goals of NBM offers members opportunities to meet, make connections, and establish friendships across students, faculty and university professionals. The Network also provides unique mentoring opportunities with professionals and community leaders from the private and public sectors. Meetings will cover a variety of relevant topics that include: Winning Strategies for Professional Success, Deconstructing the Media Portrayal of Black Men, Health and Wellness, Leadership, and suggested topics from members.
The Vision and Mission of the Network of Black Men
The vision of the Network is committed to cultivating, fostering, and developing a thriving community for members in an environment of inclusion, support, and zeal. We further seek to confront the issues and challenges faced by members through intellectual discourse, involvement, and action. Our mission is to improve the recruitment, and educational attainment of new and current students. In addition, NBM seeks to establish and sustain meaningful partnerships with the academy.
