January 19-24, 2009
On February 10, 1961, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered a speech on civil rights, equity and nonviolence on the campus of New York University. The NYU community commemorates Dr. King’s visit and his leadership with a weeklong series of events and programs. In partnership with NYU schools, you are invited to attend the Third Annual MLK Celebration Week at New York University.
This year's theme is "Connent, Collaborate, Change..." Some of the week's highlights include a University-wide marquee event, announcement of the recipient of the NYU MLK Award for Community Service, featured keynote speaker, lectures, student performances, film screenings, community service projects and so much more.
